Summer is FLYING by...

At the beginning of summer I spied two pirates!
And below, two space nerds.
Our blackberries produced some very nice fruit.
Zane and Koen, along with Dallas and Lilly
made a visit to the blueberry farm.
Sadly, I couldn't find my camera, so no pictures.
And the Highlight of our summer, is always our Reginal Convention.
This year the Convention theme is:
 "Keep Seeking First God's Kingdom!"
Daniel and Pam with their buddy, Johnny.
Friday's theme:
"To You It Is Granted to Understand The Sacred Secrets of the Kingdom"
-Matthew 13:11
I enjoyed the symposium entitled:
"What Must be Kept in Second Place."
Recreation (Mark 6:31; John 4:34)
Eating and Drinking (Eccl. 3:12, 13; Romans 14:17)
Concerns about Health (Ps 115:17; Luke 12:25; 1 Tim 5:23)
Courtship and Weddings (1 Corinthians 10:31-33)
We sat with Dale and Sheena and her family in the parking lot on Saturday
Notice Dion is with us too!
Saturday's Theme: "Counted Worthy of the Kingdom of God"
-2 Thess. 1:5
I enjoyed the symposium:
"Who Will Inherit God's Kingdom?"
Those "Who Are Poor" (Luke 6:20; Matt 5:3)
Those Who "Become as Young Children" (Matt 18:2-4)
Those "Persecuted For Righteousness' Sake" (Matt. 5:10)
Those Who Help Christ's Brothers. (Matt. 25:34)

After the convention on Sunday we went out to eat with Dalton's Family
and our friend, Noelia. (It was Dalton and Kyria's anniversary)
Sunday's theme: "Come...Inherit the Kingdom"
-Matthew 25:34
I enjoyed the symposium:
"Anticipate Future Kingdom Blessings!"
A World Without Satan (Revelation 20:2, 3, 7, 10)
One Language (Zephaniah 3:9; Zechariah 14:9)
Perfect Health (Job 33:25; Isa 33:24)
Complete Harmony with the Animals (Isa 11:6-9)
Paradise Earth (Luke 23:43)
New Scrolls (Revelation 20:12)
Association With Multitudes of Resurrected Ones (Job 14:14, 15)
Ability to Praise Jehovah Perfectly (Rev 5:13)

And the final talk of our convention was most comforting for the days ahead.
"Never be Anxious" -Keep Seeking First God's Kingdom.
(Matthew 6:1-34; Proverbs 15:15; 1Peter 5:8, 9)

You are Welcome to go to these conventions as they are free to the public.

A week in Arizona!

This is the STAR of our visit.
 Mom.
She looks great. I love all her hair.

Sandy was there too. So it was nice to see her
Busy and on the go despite any pain she endures.
Not long and she will have her operation.

Mary and Bailey came down from Cottonwood
and we laughed and laughed.

Also enjoyed a long leisurely visit with Vallerie.

It was nice to stay for a whole week and not be rushed!
We even got to know some new friends in the congregation there.

All the way from Henderson, NV to help!
The man behind it all
And the truck arrives!
Action begins!
Mud, mud and more mud
Do they know what they're doing?
Starting to take shape
Word or two from the Dad
Finishing up
Looking great!
The volunteers!
Including our freind and neighbor
And Pam's Dad.
Next? Planting and a ramp

Time to Enter a New Chapter of Life!

 Homemade Chocolate Cake
(Just like Grandma Carrie's)
 Tres Leches Cake
(Yum)
Lucy and I have worked together for over 10 years.
See our beautiful necklaces?
Gifts from our boss and his wife.
They are retiring and closing shop.
We had an Italian dinner in the warehouse!
Homemade Lasanga, salad, garlic bread,
Sangria, beer, coffee
And our cakes!

 Robert (Lucy's husband) with Dennis
 Here are most of us.
Some who have worked with us over the years,
came for this special dinner.
(John and Melinda)

So many years of working together,
seeing each other through good times and bad times.
Births, Deaths, Illnesses, Vacations, Marriages, Divorces.
Yes, we spent alot of our lives together.
When we went to work, we worked hard, but it was not sterile,
corporate work. It was like a family helping one another, with a common goal.
So, we have experienced emotional feelings that have nothing to do with a loss of job,
but rather a loss of the opportunity of seeing each other everyday.

I feel it was a real privilege to work with all these people.
And thank all those, who attended our dinner.
What a wonderful nearly 20 years of RAM Home Warranty.

All possible because of these two,
John and Melinda
Very hard working and caring bosses.

Now What? WE SHALL SEE!
