"For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." -Isaiah 9:6
"To the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom in order to establish it firmly and to sustain it by means of justice and by means of righteousness, from now on and to time indefinite. The very zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this." -Isaiah 9:7

i love that scripture.
how should Jesus Christ be remembered?
that is a great question.
here's my answer:
reverently.
all year long.
every day.
through, study, worship and song.
i separate the commercialism, santa, the decor, candy, cookies and all that, from the true meaning of importance of the birth of our Savior.
it's two different things for me- though the world combines them.
and for me that is okay.
hey, the date isn't even correct anyway. i believe the actual date of Christs birth is April 6th.
the birth of Jesus Christ, the actual Son of God, in every sense, born to Mary- in a humble stable- a gift to all mankind- a mission and purpose He willingly fulfilled. This is not something i take lightly.
It is through Him and by the atonement, where we are able to repent, learn and return to our Father in Heaven again some day.
and though we get distracted at times by the things of the world -
this- the gospel of Jesus Christ, is the purpose, this is the goal and this is where we will find our most happiness and joy- more than we can even comprehend.
Just want to tell both my aunts "thank you" for being examples of those who strive to follow Christ.
well said pedaling.
