very nice. do you hear them mostly in the morning or evening? mocking birds are loud aren't they? Also those lighting photos on the side, have you seen some of joey's storm pictures? check out his facebook.
Lucky you to be able to see and hear such pretty birds. I love to watch birds and hear the pretty "singers". I startled a guail and one tiny baby in my side yard last week. While I was pulling weeds a flash of wings flew up and I recognized a quail flying to the top of my fence, then my eye caught fast movement on the ground and was able to see a tiny baby quail running as fast as he could. I noticed his wings were so small he could not possibly fly-but he sure could run fast. He was out of my sight before my brain realize what my eyes were seeing. Touch you first finger to your thumb and the circle is the size of the little chick. I left the area so Mom & baby could find one another. Grandma's bird event.
SIDEBAR- I'd be the girl with the fishing pole in my hand. The tall pretty one is you. Vallerie holding the baby doll. And Sheila is swimming across the pond.
I am a working mother of seven young men, most of whom have flown the coop. My husband, who I love set up this blog for me so I could keep in touch with my Three Sisters. We share the best parents who we love to stay in touch with. (They love to receive pictures of my grandkids, best audience a person could ask for)My husband's mother and sister also, may enjoy a peak into my little life.I enjoy very much my extended family.

The kids and I have been seeing lots of mockingbirds around our back and front yards and love watching them squak and swoop!
The meadowlark is very pretty.

I also like hummingbirds, swallows, eagles, cardinals, robins, sparrows, ducks, geese, dove, quail,
I don't like those dirty, noisey Blackbirds.
